WHAT TASTY TREATS SHOULD YOU CHOOSE?

Use anything safe, tasty, pasty and easy to lick, not chew. Peanut butter, ricotta, mashed banana, tuna spread / mashed sandwich tuna. Anything that's dog-safe and you know your pooch will find delectable!

** Please note re peanut butter:

Generally speaking a little peanut butter as a treat is perfectly fine for your pooch, as long as you know they do not have peanut allergies (unusual but can happen). Please also make sure your brand of peanut butter doesn't contain xylitol, most do not contain this in Australia but double check.

    SOFTENING THE COLOURS

If you want to get pastel colours, choose white in your palette and pre-mix the colours before you put onto the canvas. Pup Picasso will do their own tongue-blending as well of course!

    USING THE STENCIL (IF PURCHASED)

Our stencils are removable, best done once the paint is touch-dry. Use a sharp knife or edge to gently find the edge of the stencil then peel away slowly with your fingers.

We use a sticky vinyl material to help it resist the pressure of your Pup Picasso's tongue! We prime one of the canvases for you beforehand, place the stencil and then apply light sealer over the top, to help reduce the paint bleeding underneath when your doggy artist gets to work. The stencils are still moveable and removable if you choose to reposition or not use. Stencils are super fun and just help with upping the cleverness of your Pup Picasso!

    PREPARING THE ZIPLOCK BAG

Blow strongly into the ziplock bag to separate the sides before putting the canvas inside, makes it easier.

    SMUDGE THE EDGES

Once your ‘artist’ is done you can smudge away any canvas white spots along the edge before removing from bag to dry.
